Getting your site to rank high in the search engines can seem like a mystery. Figuring out what they want is not easy. One thing search engines like to see is keywords in the text on your main page. Even more, they like to see keywords in hyper-linked text on your main page. And even more than that, they like to see hyper-linked text on other domains linking to specialized content on your web page.
To give the search engines what they want consider dividing your site into several smaller sites each with its own theme. Then place each small "theme" site on a separate domain name. Instead of making separate sections, make separate sites. Then you can cross-link between sites. Each theme Web site should be at least five pages because search engines do not like sites with little or no content.
For example, if your main site is about cosmetic surgery, consider dividing your main site into smaller sites specializing in an aspect of the business. Make one site about nose surgery, another about tummy-tucks, face-lifts, and so on. Purchase unique domain names for each specialty site. This will improve your ranking by satisfying the search engines requirements of specialized content and cross-linked sites.
