How to Succeed on the Internet
The majority of Web Sites are signposts in the woods.
What does that mean?
Being a signpost in the woods means the site is not linked
anywhere nor is it listed in Search Engines. Put another way,
it is not connected to anything. The only way anyone can find
it is if the type in the URL directly into their browser.
Not likely.
Designers mistakenly assume all they have to do is put a
site on the Web and the Search Engines will come running,
as if an awesome design can overcome a lack of optimization.
It can't. The truth is you need to optimize the site (get
it ready for Search Engines) then let Search Engines know
you are there. If done correctly, Search Engines will come
to the site (10 to 30 days later), find information of value
and then, and only then, will they index the site.
Search Engines are a system. They work on information. If
you don't have information, presented in a way that Search
Engines find attractive, you don't have a chance. Like any
system, you have to know how it works. Search Engines guard
their secrets. They don't tell you how to succeed. The programs
below are stand-alone Search Engine products designed to get
you connected into the Internet at large. |
